About the Arists:

Ellen Hayden: has a BFA in painting from the State University of NY at New Paltz. She has been seriously involved in painting and art for the last 35 years. She is looking to achieve a universal theme by use of the cats as a symbol, by color, and by shape in 20th century terms. Her beloved cats, Itty Bitty, Max the Cat and Shadow Boo, which are her muses in her studio.

Gary Arceri: New York City born artist, Gary Arceri is widely collected. He has participated in numerous one man and group exhibitions. Arceri holds an MFA in painting.

Fynn: Fynn was born in 1947 in Brooklyn, NY. After living in large cities and rural communes, she currently lives the life of a hermit in a small cabin in Alabama and is considered an eccentric by her neighbors. She has had a varied and adventurous life outside mainstream conventions, true to her visions and creativity. This cat inspired series was inspired by the wild, rebellious, and mischievous stray cats she has rescued and adopted.  In her work, she strives for an exuberance of line and an originality of color in an attempt to bring to life the intensity and singularity of Cat.

T. Marie Nolan: It is the vision of self-taught artist, T. Marie Nolan, who lives in the basement of an old church near the Mississippi River in Mark Twain's hometown, Hannibal, MO. Nolan has exhibited at outsider folk art events such as Slotin Folk Fest, House of Blues, and Kentucky and her work is highly collectible.

Tracey Ann Finley: Born in Brooklyn, NY, and currently lives in the great town of Leonardo, NJ.. Tracey is a self-taught artist who began offering her work for sale in 2004. Her colorful paintings hang in spaces across the USA, Canada, Spain, Australia, Japan, England, Mexico, as well as other countries. People are captivated and drawn to her vivid and bold approach to color and subject matter. Many individuals have recognized her uniqueness and continue to add to their collections. This imaginative, prolific artist is a rising new talent.

Hoke: He is an iterant artists/painter constructionist/deconstructionist experimenter ghost wanderer leaving his art work strewn about near peoples’ couches and at various outsider and folkart exhibits… Born in Ohio in 1947, but has lived in France, Washington DC, New York City, Evainpencil, Fort Lauderdale, Miami Beach, Tennessee, and now in historical  Hannibal, Missouri. Hannibal is the boyhood home of Mark Twain and a river town on the banks of the Mississippi river. When he paints, he is looking for visual languages. He can't quite understand, “the black paper between a mirror, it breaks my heart that I can’t go”. Ambiguous messages passes through the post modern haze so he can get enough dinero to buy a twelve pack of natty lights.

and Orson (bio coming) ... as well as other outsider artists.
